My mom is funny and has a good heart. She’s always look forward to spend time together. Especially, when I take her to Starbuck coffee shop. She asked for a Caramel Machiatto which she enjoy the drink so much. We talked about what’s going on with our lives and letting one of us know that we are doing okay. It’s important to keep your love ones in you life whether their good or bad. Life is too precious.
Our parents are over 70 years old. I want to share my feelings when parents lose the ability to retain their appointments, conversation, limited physical activities, and financial obligations. My advice is be there for them when they need you the most. You’ll never regret it.
I am simply grateful for many things in my life. My parents and my brother who I respected and love. They have shown me that life is precious. We spend time together when have the time. Reflecting on this holidays, I’m grateful to be able to offer food on the table to celebrate.
As I am typing, I am thinking about my younger female friend, who is having difficulty with the pandemic. I remembered good and bad memories of seeing her growing up. She is in a phase of finding her true self and learning to be comfortable in her skin. I introduced her to makeup and showed her how to have fun creating different looks. I must say she has gotten good at the eye wing liner. Her style has changed from wearing a flowery dress to a gothic fashionista.
She is finding her style in her own experience, which will help her ease her anxiety. I’ve discovered her personality to be vulnerable when she has no interaction with her friends. It’s sad to see many teenage girls are going through a rough time. When in school, there’s limited interaction in class as well.
Spending time with online friends and family members is the best way to communicate and seeing them on video chat. I use it myself to keep my soul alive and well. Also, being home can be repetitious, but some things I do to keep my sanity are running on the treadmill, writing blogs, and organizing.
I hope my post helps you understand the importance of young girls needing support, love, and caring in these pandemic times. I would love to hear your feelings and thoughts. Feel free to comment.
In Oct 17, during COVID-19 and social distancing, we had a family gathering to celebrate my brother Sergio’s 50th birthday which he turned in June 16. Mom and I had a plan to surprised him but with the Covid pandemic we could not make it happen. He have two daughters who loves him dearly with his charismatic personality, funny and friendly to be around with. We love you very much. Salute!
During the pandemic, my niece Selis and I visited my parents. My mom enjoyed watching her granddaughter how she makes the guava pastry. Let me tell you a little bit of my mom’s passion. Over the years, she’s made delicious Puertorican recipes in her own style. She used different ingredients to revamp the flavors that you’ll want eat a second round. We always look forward to eat her delicious dishes. Of course, she’s our specialty chef. We love you, Mom!
In this pandemic period, we are facing obstacles, forcing the majority of us to find new activities to keep ourselves busy. Personally, I tried to find ways to stay positive which is very important for self support. In my late 30’s, I found running is my escape of negative thoughts. I run a long distance between 3 to 6 miles a day with weather permit has help me tremendously.
My overall well-being change my ways of thinking to be proactive. I like to organize my financials, home chores, blogging, and family functions. I feel like I am making progress in life. There is so much to do in a very little time but I try my best that I can do. A little goes a long way!
I am encouraging you to try a daily self support that will help you to have a sustainable positive mindset. I hope this blog find you inspired to make a healthy lifestyle. Please share your daily self care inspiration. I would love to read it. Thank you!
